SOCIAL POLICY

We at Yellows Spun And Linens Pvt. Ltd., are committed to comply with national & local law requirements along with Industrial Standard in conducting our business.

We conduct our business in a legally acceptable manner. We comply with all the applicable statutory requirements.

WORKING HOURS

We follow a regular work week of 48 hours with six days working a week from Thursday to Tuesday.

Daily work hours and breaks shall be as under :

09:00 AM to 10:00 AM
10:00 AM to 10:15 AM
-- Tea break.
10.15 AM to 01:00 PM
01:00 PM to 02:00 PM
-- Lunch break
02:00 PM to 03:30 PM
03:30 PM to 03:45 PM
-- Tea break
03:45 PM to 05:00 PM

Generally, we do not engage any employee beyond the normal work hours.

However, in case of emergency if any employee is required to work over time, the overtime hours shall not exceed the legally permissible limit of 2 hours in a day, 12 hours in a week subject to maximum of 50 hours in any quarter.

Only those employees who are willing to work overtime voluntarily are retained for overtime, when needed.

Overtime work, if any, shall be compensated at the legal premium rate of 200% as required by the law.

Wednesday shall be the weekly rest day.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

We pay all our employees at least the applicable minimum wages and other benefits as per the applicable rules.

The wages shall be paid in cash / cheque on Tuesday evening with detailed pay stub maintained in register.

All statutory benefits like provident fund, ESIC, leave with wages, maternity benefits (if applicable), gratuity and bonus are paid to all eligible employees as per the applicable rules.

CHILD LABOR

We do not engage directly or indirectly or employ any one under the age of 18 years. All employees are required to produce a birth certificate or any other proof of age at the time of joining the organization. A copy of proof of age is maintained in the employees’ personal file.

No employee is allowed to bring in a child inside the factory premises

FORCED LABOR

We do not engage any forced labor. The employees are free to leave the factory at the end of their work hours.

An employee is free to leave the job if he/ she wishes to, after giving one month notice.

No employee is required to pay any deposit at the time of joining the organization.

We do not withhold any original documents pertaining to the employees.

No employee is forced to work overtime.

FREEDOM OF ASSOCIATION AND COLLECTIVE BARGAINING

We respect the employees’ right of freedom of association. We have no objection if employees join or form an union or association of their choice.

In the absence of an union or an association, the employees are free to form a committee to express their views and grievances.

Employees are free to express their concerns/ complaints either through a works committee, or directly with the management or through the confidential suggestion box provided at the work place.

DISCIPLINARY PRACTICES/ HARASSMENT & ABUSE

We strongly desist corporal punishment to our employees. Any one found guilty or indulging in such activity, a strictest possible action is taken against the erring employee.

We follow legally acceptable escalatory disciplinary practices as detailed in the service rules

Any kind of sexual harassment or any sexually oriented gesture to our employees is viewed with utmost seriousness and the strictest possible action is taken against the erring employee.

NON DISCRIMINATION

We do not discriminate between the employees based on the gender, caste, creed, color or their personal characteristics and beliefs or based on the medical condition of the employee. Employees receive equal pay for equal work without any discrimination. All employees have equal opportunities for training and promotion based on their skill level.

HEALTH & SAFETY

We provide a healthy and safe workplace environment. Personnel and machine safety is ensured by providing appropriate training. All employees are provided adequate clean drinking water free of cost. Aisles and exits are kept free from all obstacles at all times to ensure free movement. Adequate number of fire extinguishers is provided and safe evacuation procedures are in place to ensure safety of all employees. First aid boxes and first aid trained persons are easily accessible in case of any emergency at any time during the work hours.

Appropriate PPE is provided wherever needed, to ensure safety of our employees.

Adequate lighting, fans/ ventilators and emergency lights are provided to maintain a comfortable work place atmosphere.

Adequate gender wise separate toilets are provided.

Emergency evacuation awareness and training is provided to all employees

Employees are free to express their views and concerns, if any, freely either directly or through a committee set up for this purpose.

ENVIRONMENT

We are performing warping, winding, weaving, cutting, sewing, finishing and packing operations in our facility. None of the operations performed in the facility pollute the environment.

We have applied/ obtained the necessary approval from the regulatory body concerning environment.

The solid waste management and disposal procedure is in place to maintain cleanliness in the premise.

COMMUNICATION AND TRAINING

All employees at the time of joining the organization are adequately informed about their rights and responsibilities during the induction training.
